Use Of Facilities Prior To Event
No decorating of the building will be allowed without the express permission of Magdalen Place management. The practice of throwing rice or birdseed at the departing bride and groom is not allowed due to the trip hazard it creates for all guests on the exterior and interior tile and concrete floors of Magdalen Place. Only battery powered candles are allowed. Sparklers are not allowed due to fire hazard and guest injuries.
By special arrangement, reasonable photo use of the facilities and dressing room prior to the wedding reception will be allowed provided the building is kept clean. All personal items and trash must be taken out of the restroom after the photo session and prior to the wedding reception. No food or drink is allowed in the building during this time.
Please Note that the bar is Not open during this time. Because of utilities and personnel expenses, an extra charge will be assessed for photo sessions or rehearsals conducted at time other than the scheduled event hour. Decorating earlier than the usual alloted decorating time may be subjected to an additional charge. Electricity turned on early will be an extra charge. The air conditioning will be turned on 4 hours prior to your event. Extra fees will be allotted should you need it earlier than this.
At NO time will Magdalen Place accept responsibility for or assume liability for any items or personal possessions brought to or left on the premises.
Damage to Premises
Magdalen Place is being rented to you for a private function. Any damage to the premises resulting from abuse by a guest shall be the renter’s responsibility.
Children are welcome, but must be controlled from running and sliding to prevent accidents to themselves and older people. Magdalen Place assumes NO responsibility for injuries to children left unattended.
Minimum Charge For Number Of Guests
As soon as practical before the wedding/event, the management at Magdalen Place must be notified of the number of guests expected to be in attendance. Magdalen Place will purchase sufficient food and beverages and provide staff to accommodate the stated number of guests in accordance with industry standards. You will be billed for each guest in excess of the stated number based upon the per person charge for this wedding/event. Due to these prior purchases and commitments by Magdalen Place there cannot be a refund if less than the number of guests attend.
